With over 40 years of experience in the world of purebred dogs, Abbiestar is internationally recognised for its dedication, excellence, and passion for the Hungarian Vizsla.

 

Since 1993, we have focused exclusively on this remarkable breed, building a legacy of quality, integrity, and success both in Australia and around the globe.

 

At Abbiestar, we are proud of our reputation as a Vizsla kennel of international renown. Our dogs and puppies have found loving homes across every Australian state and territory, as well as in the USA, Canada, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

 

Our commitment to breed excellence is reflected in our global reach. Frozen semen from our Australian Champion, Abbiestar Aristotle ET, was exported to New York and has since produced American Champions, including a Judges Award of Merit winner at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in Madison Square Garden.  We are the proud breeders of Australian, New Zealand, American, Canadian, Japanese and International CACIB Champions.

 

We proudly welcomed Canadian Champion Piroska Sunfire of Abbiestar, imported from Vancouver, and have imported frozen semen from American Champion Russet Leather Storm Winds SH to further strengthen our lines.

In October 2025, we will welcome our latest international import, American Champion Regal Point Abbiestars and Stripes (“Quincy”) – a valued and cherished addition to the Abbiestar team.

 

A Tradition of Excellence

 

Abbiestar Vizslas have achieved conformation championships, obedience titles, endurance test titles, Rally Novice titles, and Sprint Dog qualifications. Members of the extended Abbiestar family have gone on to earn accolades across virtually every canine discipline.

 

Ethical Breeding Practices

 

At Abbiestar, we are not mass-production breeders. We are committed to responsible breeding and strongly advocate against puppy farming, high-volume breeding operations, and unregistered breeders. We are here to guide and educate, ensuring our puppies go only to dedicated, caring homes.
